Island is the largest free standing provider of home health care services on Staten
Island. Since 1917, we've been working closely with hospitals and physicians in
private practice to ensure that the patients they entrust to us receive the highest
quality care.
Patient Care is always our first priority. Our nurses assess and evaluate each patient's
complete needs to develop a personalized plan of care. We then coordinate all
necessary services and arrange for durable medical equipment and supplies.
The Registered Nurse heads a team of knowledgeable and compassionate health care
professionals. These may include physical, occupational and speech therapists with their
restorative skills; nutritionists to help patients plan and maintain proper diets; medical
social workers to assist in handling the paperwork necessary for public and private health
insurance, and home health aides who assist the nurse and help the patient with personal
care.
For qualifying patients special "waivered" services include medical
transportation for travel to and from nearby clinical facilities. VNA of Staten Island is
a key component of Staten Island's health care delivery system. As health care needs
